In bits

Progress in my ghost story book has been slow. I am now at about the halfway stage of the book.
Last week was hectic at work so my brain was to busy and did give me much time settle down and read. Especially not as I went out a few times in the evening as well. Then on Friday I made the mistake of having a few caffeinated coffees and an energy drink. This then meant that my brain was on the go, firing thoughts in my head with lightening speed, non-stop. The brain was going "come on Karin, let's go and do something fun or useful or energetic" while my body was going "you're on your own mate! I couldn't move if I tried". The brain finally settled down round about Saturday afternoon. So I went for a little nap and woke up about 3 hours later still tired.
On the up side... I have not bought any more books! Thought about a few I would want to get but not actually bought them.... not sure how long it will last.

Getting there, slow and steady at non-Olympic pace

This week I can report that I have read some pages in my Ghost Story book. I got from page 30 to page 112!!! Not too many pages read mind you, but some nonetheless. The Olympics are still keeping my evenings busy. But honestly... how can you not watch Bolt sprint to Olympic glory in  9.63 or watch Mo Farah run the race of his life.... or see Jessica Ennis put so much effort in that it makes even my legs hurt. It's gotta be done! And do not even mention the cycling... the elimination race was epic fun to watch as was the women's pursuit.

So the title of my blog will remain Read by Karin although it might actually be more of a case of Slowly Being Read  by Karin.

And I almost forgot the most important thing..... I bought another book!! A Stephen King one about the murder of President Kennedy. It sounded intriguing.
